Abstract摘要
Agentic robotics systems combine planners with robot harnesses to perform complex manipulation tasks. Recent work improves these systems through better harnesses and external memory, but relies on powerful closed-source models as planners and does not improve the planners' own capabilities. In contrast, coding agents have improved substantially by post-training the model itself. We therefore investigate whether post-training can also improve robot planners. However, applying it across robot harnesses requires accommodating different execution mechanisms, including VLA skill invocation and …

Lunar surface exploration increasingly relies on autonomous rovers that must perceive and traverse unstructured terrain under extreme illumination conditions. Near the lunar poles, low sun elevations produce long, high-contrast shadows that challenge stereo vision, terrain segmentation, and localization. Developing perception and navigation algorithms for these conditions requires large amounts of sensor data with accurate ground truth, which field campaigns and analog facilities can only provide at high cost and with limited variety. This paper presents MARE (Modular Autonomy and Rendering …

Abstract摘要
Effective manipulation requires a policy to capture not only about the current scene geometry, but also about how that geometry will evolve under interaction. Existing approaches either augment policies with geometric information from current observations or introduce future prediction as auxiliary supervision, leaving open how predictive geometry should be represented for action generation. Therefore, we propose a two-stage framework, which learns complementary predictive representations from multi-view video clips. During pretraining, a frozen 3D foundation model provides dense geometric …

Abstract摘要
Learning loco-manipulation policies requires demonstrations that capture coordinated base and arm motion on the target embodiment. Robot-free interfaces allow demonstrations to be collected independently of the target robot, increasing flexibility but without directly capturing platform-specific commands, proprioception, and body-mounted observations. On-robot teleoperation allows to capture these signals directly, but requires an interface capable of commanding the complete system concurrently. This paper presents LocoPilot, a single-operator bilateral teleoperation and data-collection …

Abstract摘要
Vision-language-action (VLA) robustness is commonly summarized by aggregate task success, which obscures how individual executions change under distribution shifts and where failures emerge in long-horizon tasks. We introduce \textbf{RoboCasa-Shift}, a diagnostic robustness benchmark built on RoboCasa365 that combines controlled single-factor shifts, matched clean-perturbed rollouts in which each pair shares the same underlying settings and differs only in the target shift, and simulator-grounded stage-aware diagnostics. We evaluate GR00T N1.5 on four long-horizon tasks that pass a predefined …

Video generation models are promising foundations for embodied world models, but only if their generated rollouts are physically valid and faithful to task instructions. Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) are increasingly used to judge these properties, yet their agreement with human judgments on embodied videos has not been systematically evaluated. To address this gap, we introduce RoboJudge-Bench, a benchmark for evaluating MLLMs as judges of embodied video generation. The benchmark measures two fundamental dimensions, Physical Adherence and Instruction Alignment, across 800 …

Abstract摘要
3D scene graphs support language-guided navigation by organizing physical entities and their containment and spatial relations into hierarchical maps. Building such structured maps requires a scene representation that consistently distinguishes semantic regions and object instances across viewpoints. To this end, we present PanoGraphGS, a unified framework that integrates panoptic 3D Gaussian representation learning with hierarchical 3D scene graph construction. The framework learns semantic and instance features on shared Gaussian geometry. Prototype-based semantic learning and …

Capability claims in robot manipulation are unverifiable, and existing leaderboards are each closed, simulated, or gameable. We propose HATCH, a robot escape room: an openly specified, physically replicable, sensor-scored, and unrehearsable benchmark. Tasks span five skill categories at three difficulty levels and are chained so that the sensor confirming one task's completion unlocks the next, turning a room into a single long-horizon evaluation. Success is confirmed by instrumentation rather than human judgment, scoring is embodiment-agnostic, and object placements are randomized by a …
Frontier models can control robots through agent harnesses that loop on one question: what motion comes next toward the user's goal? We show that this default loop carries out harmful instructions. With GPT-6 Astra controlling a low-cost SO-101 arm through the Inspect Robots harness on three household tasks whose hazard is common knowledge, such as "put the knife in the toy basket", the policy refused 0% of 15 trials, attempted the harm every time, and completed it in 27%. Its one exit, give_up, is meant for goals that cannot be achieved, and it never cited the hazard. We add an optional …
The Jetson AGX Orin is a common computer for robots and vehicles, yet measured accuracy, speed and energy of current depth estimators on it are hard to find. We benchmark nine model families as of October 2026: the monocular Depth Anything V2 and 3, Depth Pro, MoGe-2, Metric3D v2 and UniDepth V2, and the stereo methods libSGM, NVIDIA ESS and Fast-FoundationStereo. Every method runs on the Orin as a TensorRT FP16 engine or native CUDA code at up to three input sizes, up to the full 5.7 MP, and is scored for metric accuracy against Middlebury 2014 ground truth (non-occluded pixels of the 10 …
General-purpose multimodal models, including GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5, demonstrate broad capabilities in embodied manipulation. Our analysis indicates that this generality is accompanied by strong spatial perception, as Astra can determine where to interact with task-relevant entities amid visual distractors. Because spatial perception connects high-level reasoning to the physical scene, we investigate scaling visual grounding to strengthen the perceptual foundation of general embodied operation. We develop a unified data pipeline that combines robot manipulation recordings with …

Latent world models let an agent plan in latent space. The planner searches for an action sequence that minimizes a cost, and that cost is often the $\ell_2$ distance between the predicted terminal latent and the goal latent. The latent, however, is partly noise: the regularizer that prevents collapse during world model training promotes variance in the directions carrying no signal. We show that the same regularizer also supplies the structure to prune that noise in the latent. SIGReg drives the latent marginal to a standard Gaussian at every step, and assuming further that the latent …

Abstract摘要
Video world models have emerged as promising candidates for high-fidelity world models, offering the potential to synthesize high-quality videos capturing fine-grained interactions between agents and their environments conditioned on multi-modal user inputs. Their impressive capabilities address many of the long-standing challenges faced by physics-based simulators, driving broad adoption in many problem domains, e.g., robotics. For example, video models can generate photorealistic, physically consistent deformable-body simulation without making prohibitive simplifying assumptions, which is a …

Abstract摘要
Video generation models can now depict remarkably realistic motion. Yet it is unclear how to use this motion beyond pixels: to animate a specific 3D asset and replay the animation in its 3D scene. For instance, a video model can show a monkey jumping over a crossbar, but it cannot return that jump as replayable 3D motion placed in the 3D scene. Here we present a model that directly co-generates the video and 3D motion for any supplied rig, along with a camera that registers this motion to the scene. Prior video-motion models either handle only human skeletons, often adding billions of …

Dexterous multi-finger hands hold promise to unlock diverse skills like functional grasps, in-hand reorientation, and dynamic handover that the human-designed world assumes, yet existing learning recipes force a trade-off. Goal-reaching reinforcement learning generalizes to arbitrary object poses but, lacking any human prior, converges to unnatural and unreliable finger strategies; motion tracking reproduces human-like behavior from a single clip but cannot deviate from it. Abstract摘要
Motivated by the human ability to integrate experience across language, perception, and action, we introduce UniWALM, a unified world-action-language model that learns video, action, and language in a single shared representation, where each modality is both a conditioning signal and a supervision target. We ask: can jointly generating language enrich this shared representation, improving manipulation and supporting memory-dependent behavior? Unlike prior approaches that attach a reasoning or vision-language model to a video-action backbone and run them as distinct stages, UniWALM unifies all …

Abstract摘要
Planning under uncertain control execution noise requires reliable feedback policies across diverse environments. We introduce Planning Under Noise (PUN), a neural operator that learns noise-aware value fields for planning in unseen geometries. Building on an established screened-Poisson formulation of stochastic optimal control, we address two challenges: specifying boundary conditions that support navigation across varying geometries and efficiently computing fields with reliable gradients. Zero-Dirichlet obstacle boundaries terminate sampled paths at walls, weakening the goal signal along …

Abstract摘要
Simulation is a powerful tool for robotics, but building diverse, simulation-ready scenes at scale remains difficult. Reconstructing scenes from single images is a promising alternative, but visual similarity alone is insufficient: objects must also be recovered, accurately placed, and physically grounded. Existing methods that rely on post-hoc physics settling often misplace objects, producing scenes that look correct but behave poorly under manipulation. We present SceneRig, an agentic system that turns a single image into an editable, simulation-ready scene. SceneRig combines geometric, …

Robots exploring unknown indoor environments must decide where to move while much of the environment remains unseen. Predicting the occupancy of unseen space beyond the current sensor range can improve these decisions, but recent approaches commonly rely on learned models that require offline training and repeated inference during exploration. Abstract摘要
Collaborative perception enables agents to retrieve the scene semantics and geometry beyond the field of view of any individual agent. This broader scene understanding enhances transportation safety and improves efficiency in multi-robot systems. However, existing collaborative semantic occupancy methods rely on dense 3D voxel annotations and are limited to recognizing objects within a predefined set of semantic classes. To overcome these limitations, we present CoGaussian, an open-vocabulary Gaussian-based collaborative semantic occupancy prediction framework. CoGaussian represents a scene …

Abstract摘要
Humanoid-human interaction requires robots to operate under severe partial observability: during close physical contact, the human partner is occluded, truncated, or outside the robot's field of view, causing pose estimation to fail and often necessitating external tracking or privileged human state. At the same time, heavy mutual occlusions introduce errors into the human-human motion-capture data used for learning. We present REACT, a framework for learning deployable humanoid-human interaction policies from human-human demonstrations. REACT treats semantic contact structure as the key …

Abstract摘要
Tracking large human-motion datasets has become the dominant route to general, expressive humanoid whole-body control, but scaling across many motions is expensive. Current pipelines use model-free reinforcement learning, either merging per-motion specialists through lossy distillation, or brute-forcing a single policy with cluster-scale compute. SuperMimic amortizes learning across all motions with one differentiable world model of their shared dynamics, fit from logged transitions of a standard rigid-body simulator. The world model and the tracking policy train together in one loop, and …

Abstract摘要
Object-goal navigation (ObjectNav) requires an embodied agent to find an instance of a specified category in an unseen environment and stop near it. The agent typically relies on an object detector but must judge online from a limited egocentric video stream, sometimes a single frame, whether a detected candidate is the target. Detectors often confidently mistake similar objects, such as a sofa for a bed, and stopping at a false positive fails the episode. Prevailing systems also approach candidates greedily, leaving them occluded or partially observed. We present CLOSER, an evidence-aware …

General-purpose multimodal models have shown promise as direct robot action policies, yet whether they grasp the physics underlying real-world interactions and can apply that understanding to guide action remains underexplored. Contact-rich manipulation requires interpreting tactile feedback and adjusting actions after obstruction. Classical robot navigation stacks are reliable but often require re-engineering for each new robot type and site. Learning-based navigation shifts this effort from hand-tuned parameters to data generation and training, where a policy adapts to each new embodiment or facility by fine-tuning in simulation. Whether policies adapted this way stay reliable on real industrial robots has seen little systematic testing. World-Action Models (WAMs) have emerged as a promising paradigm for embodied generalist policies by jointly modeling future world evolution and robot actions across diverse manipulation tasks. However, representing diverse futures is only the first step: a capable WAM must also generate futures that match the requirements of the current task and execution progress. Reasoning about safety is essential for embodied agents powered by large language models (LLMs). We introduce the Contextual Action and Plan Safety benchmark (CAPSafe), designed to evaluate safety reasoning at two levels: (1) an action-level dataset that tests whether a single action is safe given its environmental context, and (2) a plan-level dataset that evaluates whether agents can generate safe long-horizon plans for complex hazardous household tasks. CAPSafe models safety conditions where hazards are situational (inferred from object properties), multiple hazards can co-occur within the …

Navigation Among Movable Obstacles (NAMO) requires a robot to rearrange objects that block access to its goal. For a pushing robot, progress may depend on a setup push that enables a later opening without itself clearing a passage. The number of candidate sequences can grow exponentially with sequence length, making physics-based search costly. We introduce the Search-trained Push Action Ranker (SPAR), which learns to prioritize push primitives from simulated search outcomes. Searches over sequences of up to two pushes per object provide supervision that distinguishes immediate openings from …

Trajectory tracking for compliant robots is challenging due to nonlinear dynamics and modeling uncertainties, often requiring learning-based methods to avoid explicit parameter identification. Iterative Learning Control (ILC) ensures theoretically high precision and preserves the passive compliance of the robot. However, traditional ILC requires a separate learning phase for each new trajectory. Conversely, Reinforcement Learning (RL) generalizes to new trajectories, but practically suffers from high sample complexity and limited tracking precision. This work proposes Reinforced Iterative …

We propose a distributed platoon controller that guarantees safe and smooth crossing of multi-vehicle systems at an unsignalized intersection. To support the stability analysis, we consider a multi-vehicle platoon maneuvering along a closed path with a single unsignalized intersection. Unlike traditional bi-level decoupled designs on open paths, which primarily focus on intersection control while neglecting its coupling with platoon convergence, and thus hindering rigorous convergence analysis, the closed-path setting allows us to analyze the asymptotic behavior of the platoon. We first probe three fundamental embodied capabilities-depth perception, embodied in-context learning, and tactile understanding-and demonstrate that the model can exploit depth information, acquire simple manipulation strategies from contextual demonstrations, and …

Abstract摘要
Robot swarms coordinate through directed, time-varying local communication links, some of which may be compromised to allow the transmission of arbitrary malicious data. We provide an algorithm that acts as a wrapper around robot communication---when a robot seeks to update its state using data from some incoming links, our wrapper provides a subset of trusted links whose data can be safely incorporated. It selects these links by testing a stream of trust values---data collected from an anomaly detector on each robot---using Safe Anytime-Valid Inference. We require only that the detector be …

Abstract摘要
Reasoning-augmented vision-language-action (VLA) driving models can perceive and reason about safety-critical hazards yet fail to translate that evidence into safe actions. We characterize this failure as a perception-action binding gap: hazard information is available inside the model but exerts insufficient control over trajectory generation. Using matched simulated counterfactuals and logged driving replay, we show that in-path hazards are actually encoded in the visual representation, but longitudinal plans are dominated by ego-speed history and respond only weakly to hazard proximity or …

Abstract摘要
Vision-Language-Action (VLA) policies increasingly reason before acting, but existing reasoning models compress this intermediate decision into a single representation. When several plans are valid, this commitment hides alternatives that could otherwise be selected or revised. We introduce the Generative Plan Latent (GPL), which represents the reasoning state as a low-dimensional conditional distribution over plans, such as which object, grasp, or route to use. This makes the reasoning state addressable: without retraining the VLA, plans can be sampled (coverage), selected on request …

Abstract摘要
The research focuses on the thermal interface design of the HAKUTO Rover Flight Model (FM) and its evaluation using the final thermal vacuum experiment. Initially, an analytical thermal model was developed, dividing the rover into six distinct radiating surfaces. The surface temperature of the rover was then determined based on its orientation relative to the solar radiative flux, as well as other thermal factors such as lunar radiation, solar albedo, and conduction from the lunar regolith. By considering the impact of these heat sources, suitable mounting locations for the avionics and the …

Abstract摘要
Cascade world-action models (WAMs) use predicted visual futures to condition robot actions, but inherit costly iterative inference from diffusion-pretrained experts. We ask what a single-step predicted future must preserve to support accurate single-step action prediction. In the evaluated WAM, resampling video noise has little effect on downstream actions, yet naively truncating both streams to one step substantially reduces task success. Video-space supervision only partially closes this gap, and a local sensitivity analysis shows that vision prediction errors have highly unequal …

Abstract摘要
Safe autonomous navigation of UASs requires tactical deconfliction to address conflicts that strategic coordination cannot prevent. This task is challenging under partial observability, when sensor or traffic data are missing, delayed, or degraded. Geometry-based methods can offer separation assurances but face limitations in dense encounters. Recurrent reinforcement learning has therefore been proposed to learn navigation policies that integrate observation-action histories to optimise long-term safety-efficiency trade-offs. However, operational safeguards may require a remote pilot, onboard …

Abstract摘要
Vision-language-action (VLA) models have achieved strong performance on standard robotic manipulation benchmarks. However, their reliability can degrade substantially when task conditions deviate from the nominal setting. Perturbations in object positions and task instructions may lead to complete task failure. Existing VLA policies generally lack an explicit runtime mechanism for distinguishing these failure modes and selecting an appropriate recovery strategy. To systematically mitigate this issue, we propose FIT-MAC, a failure-aware, closed-loop multi-agent control framework for improving …

Abstract摘要
Reach-avoid sets, defining the states from which a task can be completed while avoiding unsafe regions, are fundamental tools for deploying robots in environments subject to disturbances and uncertainty, as well as for runtime task-feasibility monitoring, allowing prediction of whether a state is safe and will lead to successful task completion. Classical Hamilton-Jacobi Reachability (HJR) and its recent neural extensions (e.g., Lipschitz Continuous Reachability Learning, DeepReach) treat disturbances adversarially, computing the reach-avoid set under worst-case disturbances from a bounded …

Abstract摘要
Vision-language-action (VLA) policies are commonly deployed with asynchronous inference in real-world settings, where the next action chunk is generated while the robot is still executing the previous one. By the time the new chunk is committed, the robot and scene have changed, so the chunk is conditioned on a stale observation and task success drops sharply as this inference delay grows. Generating multiple candidate chunks could let newer observations inform the final choice, but existing multi-candidate methods either rank candidates with the stale inference-start observation or …

A planner using a learned world model can improve its predicted outcome while choosing a worse action. We study when expected free energy (EFE) can help decide how much computation to spend on a plan. An EFE-inspired objective combines goal distance with disagreement among stochastic predictions. We test candidate scoring, stopping, and online predictor updates separately. Stopping when elite cost stalls reduces refinement on tasks whose success plateaus with depth, with mean success close to fixed-depth references. At the larger tested weights, rewarding disagreement lowers success with a …

Tactile representation learning for dexterous manipulation often requires substantial robot-side data collection, limiting its scalability across different hands and sensors. We explore whether large-scale human hand-object interaction (HOI) data can provide a useful prior for robotic tactile learning. To this end, we propose HuTact, a framework that pretrains tactile-aware hand representations from human HOI data without requiring real tactile signals during pretraining. HuTact transfers the interaction structure learned from human hand motions to robotic tactile observations and can be …

Abstract摘要
History-dependent robotic manipulation requires task context and interaction history, as the current observation alone is insufficient to determine the next action. Hierarchical frameworks use task memory for high-level subgoal reasoning and low-level policies for execution. However, memory updates require accurate completion assessment: similar observations may correspond to different execution phases, and prematurely recording completion can mislead subsequent subgoal reasoning. We present EventSync, a hierarchical framework that coordinates task reasoning and action execution through …

Imitation learning increasingly relies on novice operators, whose demonstrations fall short of experts' in number and inter-trial consistency. Operators act on what they are shown, yet how the rendering of the robot affects their demonstrations, and the policies trained on them, has not been examined. General-purpose manipulators can position ophthalmic instruments under a software Remote Centre of Motion (RCM). However, at some reachable configurations that are nonsingular for the tip task alone, the RCM and tip-tracking objectives conflict and the servo oscillates. We formalise this failure as a constraint-induced task singularity: the RCM-projected tip Jacobian loses rank while the unprojected tip Jacobian stays well conditioned. Thus, the effective tip authority collapses although the target remains reachable. We present a high-precision RCM servo architecture with built-in singularity …

Hamilton-Jacobi (HJ) reachability analysis offers formal safety guarantees for control systems, but training accurate neural certificates remains difficult, particularly when unsafe regions are hard to characterize. We propose a verification-guided training framework that addresses this by using probabilistic enumeration of safety constraints to detect forward-invariance violations, i.e., states where the learned certificate incorrectly classifies unsafe behavior. This produces a compact, targeted set of counterexamples that more precisely captures the failure boundary than inputs generated …

Abstract摘要
Action-free videos are an appealing substitute for costly teleoperated data. Latent action models (LAMs) turn videos into a supervision signal by inferring abstract actions between frames. Existing LAMs observe a single camera view, which resolves 6D robot actions only ambiguously missing out-of-plane movements and potential occlusions. We propose a LAM that ingests synchronized multi-camera views using cross-attention to resolve depth and occlusions before compressing them into latent actions. The latent actions are fed into a policy in which a latent expert and an action expert are coupled …

Vision-language models (VLMs) are exact on small sets and drift into estimation on larger ones, a profile reminiscent of children before they master counting. Children cross the barrier with epistemic actions: pointing at each item while reciting number words, moving counted items aside, partitioning the array. We give VLMs the same actions as dumb image tools with no visual intelligence of their own in a training-free agent loop. Our central claim is about measurement, not intervention: a model that counts by marking leaves a normally hidden serial procedure on the image, and the …

Abstract摘要
Human-collected real-world robotic manipulation demonstrations often contain mixed-quality trajectories, including hesitant, indirect, or inefficient action segments. While diffusion- and flow-based policies can model such multimodal data, standard behavior cloning (BC) assigns equal likelihood to all demonstrated actions and may therefore reproduce suboptimal modes. Offline RL value estimates offer a natural signal for biasing policies toward higher-value behavioral modes, but directly fine-tuning the generative policy or using critic gradients for policy steering can amplify critic errors …

When does experience memory help a closed-loop LLM driving agent? Published gains cannot say, because the two factors we find to matter most, which warmup experiences the pool contains and what any injected tokens do to the prompt, are controlled in none of them. We answer with a controlled evaluation on one audited HighwayEnv testbed (1Hz, gpt-4o-mini for the decisive contrasts). We treat the warmup pool as a resampled random factor (ten disjoint pools) and add token-matched irrelevant-filler controls, oracle-certified diagnostics, caution-pricing metrics, and quantified audits of the …

Vision-language-action (VLA) models transfer knowledge from large-scale pretraining into robot control, but their manipulation performance remains sensitive to changes in observation conditions, which recent work addresses by fine-tuning the visual module on target-domain data. However, it remains unclear how such adaptation affects robustness beyond the target condition, as existing robustness benchmarks only evaluate models without fine-tuning and adaptation studies only report the target gain. Measuring this cross-dimension effect requires separating target gains from off-target changes, …

In object goal navigation (ObjectNav), an embodied agent must find a target object (e.g., "find a bed") in a previously unseen environment, relying on spatial commonsense such as object co-occurrence. Large Language Models (LLMs) encode this commonsense, but deploying them on robots exposes a trade-off between reasoning quality and efficiency: cloud-based models incur latency and privacy risks, whereas small on-device LLMs are fast but prone to hallucinated spatial judgments. Hybrid reasoning LLMs offer both a fast non-thinking mode and a slow thinking mode, which raises a key question for …

A corrector with enough parameters can absorb the innovation pattern that a stiffness change produces, and adaptation is suppressed while the fit improves. We propagate the stiffness sensitivities of the predicted measurements through the vehicle states and construct a corrector orthogonal to them. A null-space parameterization enforces the constraint without a penalty coefficient and preserves the static …

Abstract摘要
Online LiDAR-camera calibration remains a fundamental yet challenging task in the field of robotics. Recently, deep learning-based data-driven approaches have emerged, offering high-precision, targetless calibration capabilities. However, existing methods often suffer from a critical dataset shortcut phenomenon due to the lack of extrinsic diversity in their training data. Networks tend to overfit to fixed nominal extrinsic configurations, leading to severe performance degradation and poor generalization in real-world deployments. To address this limitation, we propose a highly generalizable …

Abstract摘要
Omnidirectional cameras provide surround-view information, significantly overcoming the field-of-view constraints for traditional visual localization systems. However, existing localization systems fail to fully exploit the characteristics of omnidirectional cameras, struggling to deliver accurate and robust localization performance amidst scene content variations and illumination-induced appearance changes. In this work, we propose OmniVLoc, a surround-view localization system based on a topo-metric framework. By integrating state-of-the-art global place recognition and monocular depth …

Heterogeneous multi-robot task allocation depends on estimates of how suitable individual robots are for candidate tasks, yet suitability can be defined in substantially different ways. We compare ten deterministic methods and two LLM-based variants spanning rule-based, similarity-based, requirement-oriented, fuzzy, and semantic approaches. Using common robot and task profiles, we compare how the methods score and rank candidate robots, identify feasibility, and select a top robot, while examining how these outcomes change with team composition, scale, spatial context, capability uncertainty, …
Foundation models now serve as reasoning layers for robot teams, but it remains unclear whether embodiment-specialized vision-language models (VLMs) preserve the social-reasoning capabilities of general-purpose VLMs. We evaluate Gemini Robotics-ER on SHREC, a benchmark of real human-robot social interactions, and compare it with published general-purpose VLM baselines. Robotics-ER outperforms GPT-4o-mini on error/competence detection but performs worse on detailed social-attribute judgments; adding a visual frame helps one task while hurting the other. These results suggest …

Mobile legged robots offer unique advantages for on-site construction, including the ability to traverse unstructured terrain, climb stairs, and operate independently between spatially separated work zones. This paper presents a proof-of-concept system for autonomous brick stacking using a Boston Dynamics Spot quadrupedal robot equipped with a manipulator arm. The system operates between a supply area and an assembly area, using AprilTag fiducials for localization and autowalk missions for navigation. Target brick positions and orientations are specified in CAD software and exported directly …

Abstract摘要
Reliable quadrotor flight in disturbed environments requires predictive models that remain accurate as unmodeled aerodynamic effects change during deployment. We introduce a disturbance-aware Koopman Control Family (DA-KCF) framework that preserves an offline-identified nominal model while learning only a disturbance-induced correction online. A reference-dependent KCF is first learned from simulation data and calibrated using limited hardware data. During deployment, the nominal KCF remains fixed while a lightweight residual ensemble learns a low-dimensional disturbance correction from …

Abstract摘要
Action-conditioned video generative models trained on successful, goal-directed demonstrations tend to ignore the commanded action, rendering a plausible expert-like future regardless of what is asked of them. We trace this failure to training data that lack sufficient action influence. We analyze this metric and prove that it upper bounds the action influence that any model trained on that data can express. Expert demonstrations, whose narrow action distributions let next states be predicted without attending to the action, set a low ceiling that no amount of model capacity alone can raise. …

Abstract摘要
Accurate head immobilization is critical for medical procedures such as neuroimaging and intracranial radiation therapy, where even minor motion can compromise precision. Traditional methods, such as rigid stereotactic frames and thermoplastic face masks, are invasive, uncomfortable for patients, and require a time-consuming setup. To overcome these limitations, a novel approach employs a 6-degree-of-freedom (6DoF) robotic head holder that is integrated with real-time optical motion tracking, enabling dynamic compensation for head movements without physical restraint. However, implementing …

Abstract摘要
The integration of dynamic legged locomotion and aerial mobility offers versatility that is deterred by challenges in payload distribution, actuation, and the contrasting requirements of both domains. In this paper, we present the design and operation of a multimodal quadrupedal aerial-legged robot. The presence of legged aerial systems also allows for thruster-assisted legged locomotion, which we make possible with a unified control framework using Control Contraction Metrics (CCM). We search for separate domain-specific contraction metrics for walking and flight independently offline and …

In real-time autonomous field applications, GNSS is often unreliable and inaccurate. A possible solution is localizing against a prebuilt map like a satellite image, as it is georeferenced and already surveyed. In this work, we localize a spinning radar measurement against overhead RGB imagery with a learned observation model. We use a radar representation pretrained by masked reconstruction and align it to features from a satellite image. A particle filter propagated by radar odometry proposes candidate poses, and our observation model provides a likelihood over these poses. We evaluate our …

Abstract摘要
Vision-language-action (VLA) models are sensitive to visual corruptions, but knowing that a corruption is typically harmful does not establish whether removing it would benefit the current episode. Furthermore, when several corruptions co-occur, deciding what to correct requires understanding which ones contribute to failure risk and how much their removal would help. We define this problem as failure attribution. Detecting corruption presence alone cannot answer this question, as corruptions can be present but relatively harmless, while directly measuring removal benefits requires costly …

Maximum clique and maximum consensus are widely used formulations for robust point cloud registration in robotics. Maximum consensus seeks one transformation that aligns as many matches as possible, while maximum clique selects matches through pairwise distance tests. Maximum clique is often used as a substitute for or an approximation to maximum consensus, with empirical evidence suggesting a close relationship. However, how closely the two formulations agree is not fully understood. We study this relationship theoretically. We show that a maximum clique can have arbitrarily large alignment …

Abstract摘要
Humanoid dexterous manipulation needs reference motions that are both semantically rich and kinematically feasible for the target robot. Text-conditioned hand-object interaction (HOI) generators supply diverse, language-specified demonstrations, but they synthesize motion in human (MANO) space. The embodiment gap is therefore deferred to post-hoc retargeting, where trajectories deployed on the robot can fail to maintain contact with objects and also degrade policy learning. Our key idea is that robot reachability should constrain the interaction trajectories while they are being generated. We …

Abstract摘要
Diffusion policies with linearly composed scores have emerged as a promising approach to multitask robotic learning by combining separate factors to enable modular, task-wise adaptation, compositional generalization, and interpretable functional decomposition. However, current training objectives do not encourage factor specialization, often resulting in uninterpretable denoisers whose composed prediction is an average over identical copies, undermining their architectural premise. To address this, we propose a drop-in score-decorrelation auxiliary loss, motivated by projective composition …

In robot-assisted education, a robot must understand how to complete a task in order to effectively guide a student through it. We present a novel method that enables a semi-autonomous, camera-equipped robot to recognise the task goal and plan actions to achieve it. These tasks are designed so that the goal can be inferred directly from their visual structure. We have developed a solver that uses a vision-based Large Language Model to convert photos of a Shoebox …

Abstract摘要
Reliable contact establishment remains a critical challenge for autonomous on-orbit servicing (OOS), particularly when interacting with non-cooperative targets. Gecko-inspired dry adhesives provide a lightweight, passive, and residue-free solution for robotic capture in space, yet current systems operate in open loop, without the ability to estimate their own contact or adhesion state during interaction. This paper presents a real-time interaction-awareness framework that enables sensorized gecko-inspired adhesive interfaces to estimate their contact state throughout the adhesion lifecycle …

Abstract摘要
In recent years, physical artificial intelligence (physical AI) has experienced rapid development, capturing significant attention in academia and industry. However, the field has yet to reach consensus on its definition, technical landscape, and core challenges. To address this gap, this monograph seeks to define physical AI, present its technical landscape, and examine each key technical subfield in depth. In doing so, it establishes a unified framework for Physical AI: artificial systems that perceive, model, and act upon the physical world through continuous feedback under real-world …

Foundation models offer a promising basis for robotic agents, but long-horizon tasks require them to sustain coherent reasoning and reliable physical execution across interdependent stages. We introduce Embodied Playground, a benchmark for evaluating how foundation-model agents coordinate physical, strategic, and spatial reasoning throughout such tasks. The playground comprises 410 task environments spanning basic manipulation, …

Abstract摘要
Embodied VLMs can execute increasingly complex manipulation tasks, yet execution errors can leave the environment in states that require replanning for recovery. Existing recovery methods either rely on inference-time mechanisms with fixed policies or learn from failure examples and reference corrections rather than verified action outcomes. To enable recovery learning through verifiable interaction, we introduce the Embodied Replanning for Recovery Environment (ERR-Env), which provides feedback on task progress and execution errors. We further construct ERR-Bench, a benchmark with held-out …

Thin cylindrical objects offer little space for planar markers. We propose a dual-colour-stripe marker that uses the known curvature of an object to improve pose measurement with a single camera. The boundary between two colours provides a long centre line, while dots and printed edges supply features at different depths. We analyse how this depth separation improves the estimation of rotation about the cylinder axis, or roll. For a camera-facing marker at 15 cm, the Cram\'er-Rao lower bound on roll standard deviation is 2.00{\deg}for a flat marker, 0.38{\deg}for a single curved marker and …
